Privacy Policy

• Account data — your email address and authentication identifiers (including via Google sign-in, if used).
• Profile data — the preferences you provide during onboarding (language, audience type, age group, experience level, goals, speaking contexts, notes).
• Voice recordings — the audio you record in the app.
• Derived content — transcripts, scores, metrics, word-level analysis, comprehension quizzes, reading sessions, streaks and XP generated from your recordings and activity.
• Technical data — basic request/usage information needed to operate and secure the service.

• To transcribe your speech and generate personalized scores, feedback and coaching.
• To track your progress over time (history, books, streaks, awards).
• To operate, secure, maintain and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information.

To produce feedback, your recording's audio and transcript are sent to a third-party, OpenAI-compatible AI provider (depending on the deployment, this may be OpenAI, Google Gemini, or a configured AI gateway) solely to generate the transcription and analysis returned to you. This processing is automated. We instruct providers to process the data only to fulfill the request; their handling is also governed by their own terms.

Recordings are stored in a private storage bucket and are accessible only to you. Access is enforced with row-level security and time-limited signed URLs — your data is not publicly accessible. Data is hosted on our infrastructure provider (Supabase).

We keep your recordings and results until you delete them or close your account. You can delete any recording from your History at any time, which removes both the audio file and its analysis. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us using the details below.

SpeechScore is designed to help learners of all ages, including children. If you are under the age required for consent in your jurisdiction (for example, under 13 in the United States), a parent or guardian must review this policy, create and supervise the account, and provide consent on your behalf. We collect only what's needed to provide the coaching features.

• Supabase — authentication, database and file storage.
• AI provider — speech-to-text and analysis (see section 3).
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.

You can access and update your profile in-app, delete individual recordings, and request deletion of your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion and portability) under laws like the GDPR or CCPA.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
